Purpose of processing | Development and validation of a system for safeguarding hazardous areas |
Categories of data |
|
Legal basis | GDPR Art. 6 (1) f) - legitimate interests |
Legitimate interest | SICK processes image, video and 3D data in combination with the above-mentioned additional information for the training and validation of AI systems and for the validation of deterministic algorithms. Most of the data is processed automatically. This processing is done to protect people in the vicinity of machines and to prevent accidents involving them. By developing such a system for the protection of persons, there is a justified corporate interest in the general welfare of all persons. The purpose of the system's accident prevention therefore means that future protection in the interests of all people outweighs the right to the image recordings of the individual, which is worthy of protection. |
Consequences of failure to provide the data | None. |
Storage duration | The data will initially only be stored until the end of the first test phase (April 30, 2025). Storage of the data beyond this date is only possible in consultation with the works council and prior notification of the persons concerned. |

Recipients of the data | Certifying bodies |
Transmission in third countries | We do not transfer any personal data to third countries. |
