About SICK Canada

SICK founded its Canadian subsidiary, SICK Ltd., as part of its acquisition of the business conducted by AMKO Systems INC. (Toronto) in early 2009. Until then, AMKO had been providing SICK analyzers for waste gas and dust measurement.

Building on the employees’ wide-ranging technical expertise and customer orientation (the original AMKO personnel continued with SICK), business was further developed under SICK’s management. Based on this success, SICK's Canadian subsidiary was further strengthened with the addition of local management and expanded business responsibility in 2011. This allowed SICK Ltd. to become a full subsidiary in the SICK group with responsibility for all three segments, process, factory and logistics automation.
