Dr. Mats Gökstorp
Dr. Mats Gökstorp has been the Chairman of the Executive Board at SICK AG since October 1, 2021. He is also responsible for the Products and Marketing division. He joined the company in 2003 with the acquisition of SICK IVP in Sweden and moved to Germany in 2007 where he became a member of the Management Board. In addition to this, he was responsible for the global sales processes at SICK. He was appointed Director of Sales & Service on May 1, 2013 and has been responsible for the Products and Marketing division since January 1, 2021.
Mats Gökstorp was born in Stockholm, Sweden, in 1965. After studying Computer Science and Engineering both in Sweden and the USA, he received his doctorate in 1995. He joined a small start-up company in 1993, where he worked in several roles from R&D to sales and was the General Manager from 2001 to 2007.Feng Jiao
Feng Jiao has been appointed to the Executive Board with responsibility for the Sales & Service portfolio with effect from 1 January 2021. He joined the company in 2014 and, as Managing Director of SICK China Co., Ltd., was responsible for the Group’s sales activities on the Chinese market. At Siemens, from 1994, he was active in leading sales positions in China and Canada. He took over sales management for the Asia-Pacific region at the Data-Linc Group in 2001, before moving to the technology company Harting in 2007 as Director Business Development Greater China.
Feng Jiao was born in Beijing, China in 1969 and completed his studies in Engineering at the Beijing Institute of Technology in 1992. He has the Canadian citizenship.
Dr. Martin Krämer
Dr. Martin Krämer has been a member of the Executive Board since July 1, 2012 and is responsible for Human Resources, Compliance, and the Legal Counsel Office. He has been Head of the General Legal Counsel Office since he first joined the company in 1999.
Born in Rottweil in 1960, Dr. Krämer completed his law studies in Tübingen and Freiburg before specializing in company and labor law. He received his doctorate in 1999. Initially working as a lawyer, he went to the Lidl & Schwarz Group in 1995 as Manager of the legal department. He later completed a master’s degree in “International Commercial Law” at Davis University, USA between 2004 and 2009.
Nicole Kurek has been a member of the Executive Board since July 1, 2022 and is responsible for the “People & Culture” portfolio. Before taking up her position on the board at SICK, she was the Senior Vice President Talent and Transformation Management at the BMW Group where she acquired many years of experience in the automotive industry as well as in her role as a HR manager.
Nicole Kurek was born in Saarland in 1974. She studied education, sociology, and social psychology at Saarland University. She received her MBA, majoring in “Finance”, from FOM in Munich in 2012.Dr. Niels Syassen
Since October 1, 2021, Dr. Niels Syassen has been the Executive Board member responsible for the Technology & Digitalization department at SICK AG. He joined the company in 2017 and, starting in 2018, was in charge of innovations in the field of gas and particle analysis solutions as a member of the Executive Board. Prior to that, he held various management positions in product development for sensor technology in the Automotive Electronics division at Bosch and the Safety Technology division at Dräger.
Niels Syassen was born in Düsseldorf in 1977. He studied physics with an emphasis on lasers, optics and semiconductors at the TU Munich as well as at Imperial College in London. He received his PhD from the Max Planck Institute of Quantum Optics in 2008.Markus Vatter
Markus Vatter has been a member of the SICK AG Executive Board since July 1, 2006, where he is responsible for Finance & IT.
Marcus Vatter was born in Wiesbaden in 1966. He obtained his degree at the Technical University of Darmstadt before starting his career as industrial engineer at Robert Bosch GmbH, Stuttgart. His next position was at Müller Weingarten AG, where he worked before accepting the role of Managing Director of KaVo Dental GmbH in Biberach in 2001.
Dr. Tosja Zywietz
Dr. Tosja Zywietz has been a member of the Executive Board of SICK AG since January 1, 2020 where he is responsible for the Production, Purchasing and Quality Assurance departments. Before being nominated to the Executive Board of SICK, Tosja Zywietz worked with the Boston Consulting Group and then founded a startup company in the area of medical technology. After selling the company, he took a position on the management board of the Rosenberger Group in 2009 where he was appointed Spokesman of the Management Board in early 2016.
Tosja Zywietz was born in Hannover in 1971 and, after completing his studies at the Georg-August University of Göttingen and in the USA, obtained a PhD in the field of theoretical physics at the Fritz Haber Institute of the Max Planck Society.
