AOPD

An active opto-electronic protective device (AOPD) is an ESPE whose sender elements send optical beams to receiver elements. The AOPD detects an opaque object when the object interrupts the beam path. Examples: safety light curtain, safety multibeam sensor, safety single-beam sensor.
