Averaging

In averaging, an average value for the measured distance is calculated from a specific number of measured values. This average value is outputted and updated at the specified output rate. The response time resulting from the averaging depth is an important factor in the amount of time necessary before the measured value is fully updated after an abrupt change in distance.
