Barcode

A barcode is an opto-electronically readable code composed of parallel bars and gaps with different widths. In this case, the word “code” does not refer to encryption and instead denotes a representation of data in binary symbols. Barcode data is machine-read by optical readers such as barcode readers (scanners) or cameras before undergoing further electronic processing.
