Effective aperture angle

The effective aperture angle (EAA) is the maximum angle of deviation of the sender and the receiver of an AOPD from the ideal alignment. The sender and receiver of an AOPD are not always precisely aligned to each other. As long as the deviation of the effective aperture angle is not exceeded, fault-free operation is possible.
