Multiplexing

Multiplexing refers to a function designed to prevent mutual interference. This function is used on the high-end ultrasonic sensors from SICK, for example. In multiplexing, measurements are performed by the sensors in an alternating manner. In some cases, potential mutual interference can also be prevented by synchronizing the sensors, which makes it possible to achieve a faster response time.
