Safety integrity level: Discrete level (one of three possible levels) for specifying the safety integrity of the safety functions assigned to the safety-related system, where safety integrity level 3 corresponds to the highest level of safety integrity and safety integrity level 1 the lowest (IEC 62061/EN 62061).
